Bible Matters 460 You must First Believe

The devil wants you to believe that for everlasting life, all you need to do is to believe to be saved.  Don’t be fooled by verses that claim all you need is to believed and to be saved.  The devil believes and trembles. 

James 2:19 – Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

It is clear that you must believe in the one true God.  You must carry God’s word in your heart and with a pure walk you shall see God.

Luke 8:12 – Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved

You must believe in one God in spirit and creator of all. 

Genesis 1:1-3,6,9,14,20,24,27,31 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.  And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:  And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.  And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.  So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The most fundamental belief that a Muslim has is that “There is only One God,” the Creator, the Sustainer — known in the Arabic language and by Muslims as Allah. Allah is not a foreign god, nor is he an idol. Arabic-speaking Christians use the same word for the Almighty.  The fundamental pillar of faith in Islam is to declare that “there is no deity worthy of worship except the One True Almighty God” (in Arabic: “La ilaha ill Allah”).

God’s Nature – In the Quran, we read that Allah is Compassionate and Merciful. He is Kind, Loving and Wise. He is the Creator, the Sustainer, the Healer. He is the One who Guides, the One who Protects, the One Who Forgives. There are traditionally 99 names, or attributes, that Muslims use to describe Allah’s nature.

Hinduism perceives the whole creation and its cosmic activity as the work of three fundamental forces symbolized by three gods, which constitutes the Hindu Trinity or ‘Trimurti’: Brahma — the creator, Vishnu — the sustainer, and Shiva — the destroyer.

Brahma, the Creator – Brahma is the creator of the universe and of all beings, as depicted in the Hindu cosmology. The Vedas, the oldest and the holiest of Hindu scriptures, are attributed to Brahma, and thus Brahma is regarded as the father of dharma. He is not to be confused with Brahman which is a general term for the Supreme Being or Almighty God. Although Brahma is one of the Trinity, his popularity is no match to that of Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma is to be found to exist more in scriptures than in homes and temples. In fact, it is hard to find a temple dedicated to Brahma. One such temple is located in Pushkar in Rajasthan.

God’s word was clear when he said to judge no one to inherit God’s blessing!

1 Peter 3:9 – Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

God will send you witnesses to help you to know the truth in his word. 

Howard Pittman was a Baptist preacher that taught all you need to do is believe to be saved. 

Acts 16:31 – And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

He died and visited hell.  If he was saved, then why didn’t he high five the inhabitants of heaven as he walked in.  He knew he was in judgement, when this verse spiraled down from above.

Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

God said his works were an abomination. It is not known if Howard ever found the truth in God’s word.

MK McDaniels just thought all she had to do was go to church to enjoy everlasting life.  She died and visited hell.   Any religion that says you are going to hell if you don’t believe as they do is wrong.

These two witnesses have been given a chance to see the power of God.   Both of these witnesses were living their religion and were deceived. 

When you believe, you are not afraid of the truth in God’s word.  You are not afraid to tell others and to do the will of God. 

Mark 16:17 – And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

God’s gospel of love is clear.  When you love God, you do his will.  God is looking for your heart that leads to Good works.

James 2:5 – Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

1 Peter 3:15,17 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 – Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

America is the reflection of all households.   All for me and the hell with you and no love of God nor neighbor.  Zero effort is spent on doing the things of the Lord.   Nothing will change until your heart changes.

I was passing out gospel tracts on “A Child of God” at a polling location while a County Commissioner was touting his record and passing out voting literature.   Although claiming to be a Christian, he didn’t want to stand too close to the guy handing out bible messages for God!

Funny!   More people took bible messages from a nobody telling people about God’s children than from a puffed-up politician bragging on himself!

Wish all you want.   God wants action.  God wants your Good Works. God wants your love of neighbor.

James 2:8 – If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:

God is real.  He will use you if you let him.  Do not be deceived.
